KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Louisiana Christian University men's soccer program faced its two biggest tests of non-conference action since the latest NAIA poll and produced mixed results, tying #16 William Carey (1-1) and dropping a match to Williams Baptist (3-0) while still remaining in the hunt for an eventual top-25 berth by sitting on the edge at #30 with 41 points.
The Crusaders of WCU stood pat in the latest poll after their stalemate with our men in Orange and Blue while the Eagles, who had dropped off the poll completely, moved back onto the receiving votes list after sweeping the Wildcats as well as #24 LSUS with a tie against Blue Mountain Christian thrown in.
September 11, 2024 marks the 23rd consecutive week among those teams receiving votes in the NAIA Top-25 and the fifth straight inside the top-30.
The Pilots of LSU Shreveport are still the only other Red River Athletic Conference squad mentioned, dropping one spot to #25 at 56 points.
Between now and the next edition on September 25, LCU finishes the non-conference slate by returning home to face the Wiley Wildcats on Wednesday (7:30 p.m.) before kicking off RRAC play at LSU Alexandria in the Red River Rivalry next Saturday, September 21 (3:30 p.m.).
