The 2026 LCU women's tennis team earned an at-large into the NAIA National Championships, the program's first
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The #13/#8 Louisiana Christian University women's tennis team is heading to the NAIA Tennis Championships for the first time in program history after the Wildcats earned an at-large bid to the tournament, the NAIA office announced on Tuesday.
#13/#8 Louisiana Christian (12-6) were awarded the 13 overall seed in the field. The Wildcats will face a first round contest against another team making its debut in the NAIA Tournament field, (RV) Stanton. The (RV) Elks (9-5), the 20-seed in the tournament, earned their spot by winning the Golden States Athletic Conference (GSAC) Tournament Championship.
The Wildcats and Elks will battle in their first round match on May 12 at 1 p.m. in Mobile, Ala. at the Mobile Tennis Center with the winner moving on to the second round where the four-seed, William Carey Crusaders, await.
