Spring Break Brings One Final Senior Day & A Chance At History

PINEVILLE, La. – The Louisiana Christian University athletics program will mostly take its show on the road during the pre-Easter vacation, highlighted by tennis' quest for a championship, but the one team that will stick around in Pineville is baseball, who will honor its seniors at the end of the work week.
 
Monday, April 14:
 
A two-day stay near the Gulf of Mexico/America kicks off the break for LCU softball as the ladies spar with their fifth different ranked opponent, the (RV) Mobile Rams at 3/5 p.m. down by the (Mobile) bay.
 
Tuesday, April 15:
 
Sticking with softball on the coast of the Gulf Shores, they will return their first ever home-and-home series with a trip to Daphne and a doubleheader date with the United States Sports Academy (12 / 2 p.m.).
 
Closer to home in "The Boot", the Diamond Cats led by Coach Byrnes will face the 12th-ranked Wolf Pack of Loyola in the New Orleans suburb of Westwego as first pitch is set for 3 p.m. inside Segnette Field.
 
Thursday, April 17 – Saturday, April 19:
 
Fresh off its first winning season in recent memory and its largest ranked victory ever, the (RV) women's tennis program is looking to continue making history, eyeing a Red River Athletic Conference Tournament title or at the very least, ensure a debut spot in the NAIA Tournament over in San Antonio at the Blossom Tennis Center, beginning on Thursday with the Wildcats being the fifth seed.
 
Thursday, April 17:
 
The Pineville Nine start their final home series of 2025 by playing a single game on Thursday afternoon when they host the Texas A&M-Texarkana Eagles at 4 p.m. inside Billy Allgood Field.
 
Friday, April 18:
 
Approximately a dozen or so senior student-athletes will bid its home away from home goodbye at high noon on Friday in a twin-bill with Senior Day festivities occurring before first pitch in what will be the 28th/29th and final home contests of the year.
 
Saturday, April 19:
 
If you make it back to Central Louisiana early from Spring Break or if you never left, join the softball squad by making the short drive over to LSU Alexandria where the Cats will take on the #6 Generals in the last edition of the Red River Rivalry of the academic campaign (1/3 p.m.).
