PINEVILLE, La. – The Louisiana Christian University athletics program flips the calendar to October on Tuesday and the first week of competition will consist of six road games from New Orleans to East Texas with the one home contest will happen on the gridiron Saturday afternoon.
   
Both women's and men's soccer are rolling to begin their conference slates, combining to outscore their opponents by 14 goals (20-6) through their first three matches as they look to keep "Big Mo" (momentum) on their side.
    
Volleyball gets its first true litmus test of its Red River Athletic Conference docket, starting a season-defining two weekend road swing against the gold standards of the league, beginning with a return trip to NOLA to face Xavier (Louisiana) at 6 p.m. Friday night.
   
The day will begin in the Big Easy as the ladies led by Coach Salloum try to topple the three-time reigning RRAC champions in their own house at noon.
 
Next up is the women's soccer club, who will take on the Texas College Steers on Saturday with the men's team set to follow about half-hour following the conclusion of the twin-bill opener.
 
One of the best homefield advantages in the NAIA since the Cats joined the association will look to live up to its billing when Oklahoma Panhandle State visits "The Hill" for a 2 p.m. clash inside Wildcat Field as Louisiana Christian has won 14-of-17 (82.4%) battles in Pineville.
