PINEVILLE, La. – The Louisiana Christian University softball program was represented at the Red River Athletic Conference awards ceremony seven different times as announced by the league office on Friday night as Bella Houck, Olivia Coaker, and Lexie Marks were all First Team selections at first base, second base, and outfield respectively, BreAnna Corkern, Jordan Dauthier, and Brooke Ross landed among the Honorable Mentions, and McKenna Gehr received the Wildcats' nod on the Champions of Character Team.

Houck, a senior from Leesville, Louisiana, was named to the NFCA Leadoff Classic All-Tournament Team and showcased her defensive skills often as she ranked 17th in the NAIA for double plays turned (13) as well as top-50 in putouts (274), leading the Red River in both categories. The extra-base specialist topped the conference in doubles (12), fourth in walks (19), sixth in home runs (5), seventh in RBIs (32), eighth in runs scored (31) and total bases (70), ninth in sacrifice flies (2), and tenth in hits (43) while batting .350 for the campaign.

Coaker, a senior from Orange Beach, Alabama, hit .358 with 29 hits over 81 at-bats on top of 25 RBIs, 14 walks, nine scores, eight two-baggers, and a pair of blasts over the wall.

Marks, a senior from Rayne, Louisiana, was all about the fundamentals as she finished the year with five sacrifice bunts (sixth in RRAC), 15 stolen bases (ninth in RRAC), and was the perfect table setter for the run producers out of the leadoff spot as she hit a team-leading .398 (35-for-88).

Corkern, a graduate student third baseman from Watson, Louisiana, logged the third-highest number of sacrifice flies (4) and defensive assists (81), was involved in the fifth-most double plays turned (5), and smacked 11 doubles.

Dauthier, a junior catcher from Jarreau, Louisiana, rounded out the top-ten on the Red River Athletic Conference RBI leader board, coming through when Coach Roberts needed her most with 30 ribbies while trailing only Marks for the batting average title across the roster at .376 and scored two-dozen (24) times.

Ross, a junior right-handed pitcher from Oak Grove, Louisiana, was the ace of the pitching staff to go along with sporadic appearances out of the bullpen, concluding the regular season by sporting an ERA of 2.78 (sixth in RRAC), a WHIP of 1.27 (fifth in RRAC), pitched a team-high 93.0 innings (ninth in RRAC), made 20 total appearances with 13 starts in the circle (both ninth in RRAC), and ended up as one of just 12 pitchers league-wide with a save.

Gehr, a junior right-handed pitcher from Gulf Shores, Alabama, tossed 6.2 frames across three separate outings in which she registered a 3.15 ERA plus a pair of strikeouts, one against Huston-Tillotson and the other versus Jarvis Christian.

Weather delayed the conference tournament and changed venues for the First and Second Rounds as they will now take place one after the other on Saturday as the Orange and Blue are the fourth seed taking on the fifth seed Texas A&M-Texarkana at noon before playing either #1 Our Lady of the Lake or #8 Xavier (Louisiana) at 3 p.m., results pending, over at Champions Sportsplex in Alexandria.
