LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Louisiana Christian University softball program can now boast that three of their student-athletes were listed in the same breathe as the NAIA's most elite ballplayers in the region with
Olivia Coaker garnering NFCA All-Region First Team honors at second base while both
Jordan Dauthier and
Lexie Marks took home Second Team recognition at catcher and centerfield, respectively.
Coaker, a senior from Orange Beach, Alabama, earned the postseason trifecta as she was named to the All-RRAC First Team, RRAC All-Tournament Team, and now NFCA All-Region First Team with a chance for All-American status since she will be automatically placed into a pool for consideration for being at the top of the heap. The former NCAA Division I player led the Wildcats in slugging percentage (.589) and was the lone LCU player to record at least one hit during each of the squad's three Red River Athletic Conference Tournament matchups. She finished off her 2024 campaign at ten multi-hit games and nine outings with multiple RBIs, hitting .389 with 35 hits, 28 ribbies, 16 walks, ten runs scored, nine doubles, and three long balls.
Dauthier, a junior from Jarreau, Louisiana, was an All-RRAC Honorable Mention and the top defensive catcher in the conference, leading the league by catching ten would-be base stealers slipping, in addition to topping the Cats with 13 multi-hit affairs and a team-best eight-game hitting streak. When the final out was recorded, the sister of Graduate Assistant
Kayla Dauthier had piled up a .373 batting average, 44 hits, 31 RBIs, 25 scores, nine two baggers, nine free passes, eight multi-RBI contests, and one dinger.
Marks, a senior from Rayne, Louisiana, also landed among the RRAC's Honorable Mentions, perching herself at the head of the class regarding her .404 average on top of recording a dozen games with two-plus base knocks as well as a pair of days in which she drove in two base runners. In her swan song season, she compiled 38 hits, 24 runs, 17 stolen bases, 11 runs batted in, eight bases on balls, and a trio of doubles.
