PINEVILLE, La. – The Louisiana Christian University athletics program is slowing down considerably with both men's golf and women's tennis' regular seasons both concluding, it will be just baseball and softball over this three-day span in mid-April.
   
Baseball looks to halt an uncommonly long losing streak on Tuesday at the NAIA's 13th-ranked Wolfpack of Loyola (New Orleans) with first pitch slated for 3 p.m. approximately ten miles from LU's campus.
 
The second half of the annual Red River Rivalry home-and-home series opposite (RV) LSU Alexandria will take place across town at 5 and 7 p.m. Tuesday evening after the two softball squads split their previous meeting on "The Hill".
    
The home nine led by Coach Byrnes welcomes the (RV) UHV Jaguars to Billy Allgood Field for a 3/6 p.m. doubleheader in what will be a huge final home weekend for the Wildcats in terms of RRAC Tournament positioning.
   
Baseball ends its long 29-game home schedule on Saturday at high noon as the team recognizes one of its most successful Senior classes in school history prior to first pitch.
 
Softball stays on the bus for a journey down to Regala Park in Reserve, Louisiana for a twin-bill versus the Xavier Gold Nuggets with game times set for 1/3 p.m. before returning home the following Tuesday.
