OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – The Louisiana Christian University football program may not have had the desired outcome as a team in 2024, but they had a baker's dozen worth of individuals who were deemed worthy enough of landing on one of the three Sooner Athletic Conference postseason teams.
 
 
Running back Daylon Charles, a senior from Gueydan, Louisiana, leveled up to a First Team selection after earning a Second Team nod in 2023. He became the first ballcarrier with a 1,000-yard rushing season since Aurren Cooksey in 2015 and only the fourth player to do so during the modern era as well as being the first to score double-digit touchdowns on the ground since Cooksey did so in 2016, the fifth student-athlete to achieve that feat. Charles' 19 rushing touchdowns and 1,227 yards rank as the best / second-best in program history since its reinstatement in 2000, finding paydirt six more times opposed to the next-closest runner (both Ryan Montague and Wayne Davis logged 13 each) while finishing behind only Davis' 1,368 rushing yards in 2003. He ended the regular season fifth in the NAIA for rushing yards, sixth regarding rushing scores, was just outside the top-ten in terms of total carries (204), had the 13th-highest yards per game average (111.6), and was among the top-30 as far as yards per carry is concerned (6.0).
 
 
Offensive tackle Aarion Randall, a senior from Shreveport, Louisiana, is making his second consecutive appearance on the All-SAC First Team offense. Offensive Coordinator and Offensive Line Coach Cory York had this to say about the two-time first-teamer . . . "phenomenal senior graded out routinely above 85% every game. Has been a staple of our offensive line group at LCU for many year,".
 
 
Defensive end Logan Brimmer, a senior from Boutte, Louisiana, ended his career with his third straight All-SAC First Team selection. Brimmer racked up the fourth-most sack yards (71) and seventh-most TFL yards (89) nationwide, wound up 15th in fumble recoveries (2), and was top-five in the conference regarding both sacks (6.5) plus tackles for loss (12.5).
 
 
Cornerback Pop McGhee, a senior from Opelousas, Louisiana, lived up to his billing on the Victory Sports Network's Preseason Watch List by earning back-to-back First Team accolades as he hopes to be recognized as the school's first-ever multi-time All-American. McGhee came close to repeating as the NAIA's pass breakup leader, coming up just shy with a third-place allotment at 15 in addition to tying with Trae Grogan for the team's interception crown with two.
 
 
Wide receiver EJ Scott, a freshman from Alexandria, Louisiana, will have to settle for All-SAC Second Team after being snubbed from being the Freshman of the Year. The ASH product broke the single-game program record for receiving yards at Wayland Baptist by amassing 270 yards on ten catches, landing among the top-seven wideouts in the entire Sooner for both total receptions (44) and receptions per contest (4.0).
 
 
Scott's teammate in the wideout room Ethan Christman, a senior from Tioga, Louisiana, got a Second Team nod on offense after making the First Team as a punt returner last season. The local kid was inside the NAIA's top-25 in terms of receiving yards (779), yards per catch (19.0), receiving touchdowns (8), and longest reception (86), despite playing for an offense that threw the ball approximately 25% of the time compared to toting the rock.
 
 
Tight end Sammy Feaster, a senior from Alexandria, Louisiana, has now landed on the All-SAC Second Team twice in-a-row for two different positions. The converted receiver snagged 19 balls for 242 yards, a 12.7 yards per catch average, including a pair of touchdowns which came in consecutive weeks versus Langston and at Wayland.
 
 
Defensive tackle Jermarian Jackson, a freshman from West Feliciana, Louisiana, became a disruptive force in the middle of the defense as the season progressed, raising enough eyebrows to earn All-SAC Second Team. Jackson was the lone LCU defender with multiple forced fumbles (2) which was good enough to be 23rd nationally and tied Brimmer for the team lead in tackles for loss (12.5), the fourth-highest tally in the Sooner Athletic Conference.
 
 
Kicker Levi Hilborn, a junior from La Porte, Texas, garnered the unique distinction of being named to the Second Team All-Conference for multiple positions, both as a field goal specialist and punter. The SAC Special Teams Player of the Week (September 23) was recognized as one of the league's best for the first time after pulling double/triple duty (kickoffs, too) all year long. The multi-talented Texan was top-20 in the NAIA for the following categories; field goals made (9), punt yards (2,019), punting average (38.8), and punts downed inside the opponents' red zone (19).
 
 
Punt returner Trent Ginn, a junior from Rayville, Louisiana, made the Second Team in his debut campaign donning the Orange and Blue after going back deep for all but one of the kicks. The ULM transfer was either first or second in the SAC for practically every statistic and top-ten nationally regarding total returns (18), return yards (245), and yards per return (13.6) while being one of just 34 players to score this season, joining Terrell Hookfin of Texas College and Amin White from Nelson as the only ones in the conference to find the end zone.
 

Center Xavier Jackson, a senior from Palmetto, Louisiana, was recognized for the second straight season, this time as an All-SAC Honorable Mention. Coach York said of Jackson "extremely gifted athletically and has an extremely high football IQ. One of the hardest working individuals I have coached. These three things allowed him to make up for deficiencies in this measurable as an offensive lineman and helped him to be a dominating force at center in the SAC,".
 
 
Offensive tackle Gavin Lilley, a sophomore from New Iberia, Louisiana, has been named an All-SAC Honorable Mention in each of his first two years as a collegiate lineman. "Excited to have him back for his junior year. Graded out above 85% for every game this season," Cory York proclaimed. "Dominant tackle in the SAC and his leadership will be invaluable to our success moving forward,".
 
 
Lastly, safety Jaden Jones, a Jonesville, Louisiana, made his first postseason team in his second season on "The Hill", claiming All-SAC Honorable Mention status. The SAC Defensive Player of the Week on October 21 fronted the Wildcats with 69 tackles (eighth in SAC) including 41 solo stops (fourth in SAC) for an average of 6.3 takedowns per matchup.
