PINEVILLE, La. – The Louisiana Christian University athletics program would like to recognize men's basketball Drew Tebbe and women's basketball's Breyionce George as this week's LCU Student-Athletes of the Week.
 
Tebbe, a junior from O'Fallon, Illinois, was constantly receiving praise from the LSU Shreveport broadcaster for making "savvy point guard moves" all night long, leading all Wildcats scorers with 16 points, a career-high six of which came from the free-throw line including numerous clutch makes when fouled down the home stretch. The Anacoco High School product put together a team-best five assists in addition to three rebounds plus a steal, going 4-for-6 (66.7%) from the field, 2-of-4 (50%) from long-range, and a perfect 6-for-6 (100%) at the line. He led Louisiana Christian to its biggest upset win of their modern NAIA era (#14 LSUS) & their first win over the Pilots since December 7, 1996 (28 years).
 
George, a junior guard from Lafayette, Louisiana, put together her first career double-double as a Wildcat, topping all student-athletes with 12 boards while putting ten points on the board to go along with a club-high four assists on top of a steal.
 
Basketball does not return to the court for another nine days after playing Monday evening in Alexandria, with their next opponent being the Jarvis Christian Bulldogs on Thursday, December 12 at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. in Hawkins, Texas.
