PINEVILLE, La. – The Louisiana Christian University athletics program recognizes men's basketball's Devin Carter and women's basketball's Princis Goff as this week's LCU Student-Athletes of the Week with the latter being named RRAC Offensive Player of the Week.
 
Carter, a junior guard from Edwards, Mississippi, set season-highs of 30 points, 10 field goals, eight three-pointers and two blocks in the win over Southwest (New Mexico) while making a season-best seven free throws in the victory vs. Paul Quinn. Against the Mustangs, he became the first Wildcat with at least eight triples in a contest since December 9, 2019. He led the Wildcats in practically every scoring category; points (75, 25.0), three-pointers (17, 5.7) & free throws made (12, 4.0); while shooting 48.9% from the field (23-of-47), 51.5% from deep (17-of-33) and 92.3% from the free-throw line (12-of-13). The Alcorn and Copiah-Lincoln CC transfer also averaged a pair of assists, 1.7 rebounds, a steal and 0.7 blocks per game.
 
Goff, a junior power forward from Atlanta, Louisiana, rejected a career-high three shots versus Southwest (New Mexico) on Saturday while leading the team in points (54, 18.0), three-pointers (5, 1.7), free throws (17, 5.7) and steals (5, 1.7) during a three-game week. The four-time Red River Athletic Conference Player of the Week put together an average of nine rebounds, 1.3 assists and one block per contest. In the two conference matchups, the former LSU Eunice transfer logged her 11th (fourth of 2024) and 12th (fifth of 2024) career double-doubles on "The Hill" as she racked up 43 points (21.5 per game) including five treys (2.5 per game) in addition to 21 boards (10.5 per game) plus a trio of assists, blocks, and steals each (1.5 per game).
 
The 2025 opener will come on the road at Texas College with tip-off scheduled for 1/3 p.m. on Saturday, January 4 inside Gus F. Taylor Gymnasium.
