VICTORIA, Texas – The Louisiana Christian University men's golf program ended its brief fall campaign on Tuesday afternoon, competing against fellow Red River Athletic Conference members; #25 Houston-Victoria (host), Our Lady of the Lake and Texas A&M-San Antonio; in addition to a pair of nationally ranked JUCOs; Blinn and Ranger; at the annual Houston-Victoria Fall Classic.

Wildcats Top Performers:
 

• Blake Francis led the Wildcats with eight birdies and landed under par on a team-high 26-of-36 holes (72.2%), finishing one-under par after the first round and placing 15th overall with a +3.

 

• Josiah Freeman was on the second line in terms of placements among the Orange and Blue, coming away with 33rd at a +12 via 14 pars and nine birdies, a negative stroke tally on 23-of-36 (63.9%)

 

• Both Jackson McCormick (+13) and Cooper Ware (+13) were hot on Freeman's trail as each player logged an LCU-best 19 pars apiece while the latter produced an eagle on the eighth hole of round one.

 

• Rounding out the competitors was Silas Freeman (+18), recording positive results on 16-of-36 (44.4%).
