PINEVILLE, La. – The Louisiana Christian University athletics program has half of its teams in the Lone Star State while the others are hosting squads from New Orleans, Texas, and Arizona.
   
For the fourth year in-a-row, the men's golf club will head to The Club at Colony Creek to take part in the Houston-Victoria Fall Classic, hosted by their Red River Athletic Conference colleagues from UHV.
    
Soccer is in San Antonio this weekend as both the ladies and 25th-ranked men embark on its season-ending road trip. First up will be its second straight tussle with a Jaguars moniker as they face Texas A&M-San Antonio at 1 and 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.   
Volleyball is in the thick of its seven-match homestand and closing in on the stretch run towards the postseason as they welcome the current RRAC leaders to "The Hill" in the form of Texas A&M-Texarkana at 7 p.m. Friday evening.
   
Football is staring down a tall order with an unorthodox morning kickoff time (11 a.m.) as it looks to dampen the Spirit of #24 OUAZ, the sole member of the Sooner Athletic Conference that they have yet to taste victory against.
 
The women who thrive on the hardwood look to knock off the RRAC's top squad once more at noon in H.O. West Fieldhouse before getting a return visit from the Dillard Bleu Devils, a club in which the Wildcats have already played once at a neutral site (3-1 loss) and another on "The Battlefield" down in the Big Easy (3-0 win).
 
LCU soccer will remain "Deep in the Heart of Texas" for a Saturday afternoon showdown with a higher power of sorts when they face the Saints from Our Lady of the Lake at 1 and 3:30 p.m. within the confines of the Alamo City.
