PHENIX CITY, Ala. – The Louisiana Christian University football program has officially surpassed both Texas Wesleyan and Ottawa (Arizona) in this week's CFB Network Poll, claiming the top spot in the Sooner Athletic Conference with a ranking of 17th.

The Cats have a collective margin of victory at 29 points per game with each of its four wins coming by at least two scores, the closest being a 13-point triumph at Langston (35-22).

Offensively, LCU has piled up 26 total touchdowns (17 Rush, 9 Pass) compared to only 12 punts while confining for over 2,000 yards

The defense has limited the opponents to a measly 17 points on average, forcing five fumbles (recovering two), picking off four passes, and sacking the quarterback a dozen occasions.

The Rams of TWU were knocked from the table of the unbeaten on Saturday against #23 St. Thomas (Florida) which saw them fall to #21 while OUAZ stifled SAGU to claim a spot in the back half of the rankings at #24.
