PHENIX CITY, Ala. – The Louisiana Christian University football program moved up one slot in this week's CFB Network NAIA Poll, settling in at #21 to join SAC counterparts #13 Texas Wesleyan and #24 Ottawa (Arizona) as announced per its Twitter/X page on Wednesday morning.
Â
The offense has been clicking on all cylinders through two games, ranking top-ten in the NAIA for points per game (44.5), total yards per contest (454.5), total rushing yards (633), and first downs a night (25.5).
Â
The rushing yards category is possibly the most impressive, as they are third nationally with the only two teams ahead of them having played an extra game.
Â
On the defensive side of the pigskin, LCU is surrendering just 16 points on average while racking up seven sacks, both good enough for top-20 allotments nationwide.
Â
Louisiana Christian hopes to improve to 3-0 on Saturday, both all-time versus Langston and on the season, inside W.E. Anderson Stadium in Langston, Oklahoma at 6 p.m.
