WACO, Texas – With a top-five individual finish in his team's most recent event, Louisiana Christian University men's golfer Ryan Palmer picked up his second Red River Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week award, the conference office announced on Tuesday.
 
Palmer, a junior from Leander, Texas, led the Wildcats at the Tyler Junior College Spring Invitational by finishing the two-day, two-round event second overall at an even par, 144. He finished the par 72 course in 71 shots in the first round before shooting a 73 in the second round as the Wildcats finished the event fourth overall in the standings as a team at 41 over par, 617.
 
Following the event, Palmer moved up into the top-90 of the in the NAIA individual rankings, now sitting at #83. This is Palmer's second RRAC Golfer of the Week award, having earned it on February 22^nd.
 
Palmer and the Wildcats are back in action starting on Monday, March 14^th at the PineCrest Invitational, which is being hosted by LeTourneau University. Two rounds will be played on Monday with the third and final round played on Tuesday at the PineCrest Country Club in Longview, Texas.
