WACO, Texas – For the second straight week, a Louisiana Christian University softball player was named the Red River Athletic Conference's Player of the Week as
Jordan Dauthier rode five strong games to the weekly award, the conference office announced on Tuesday.
Dauthier, a freshman catcher/infielder from New Roads, La., went seven-of-16 as she appeared in five of the Wildcats' six games during the week. In that span, she hit a home run and a triple in LCU's game against William Carey, representing three of her six RBI over the week, and doubled in the win over Blue Mountain. On the base paths, she stole three bases over the final two games of the LSUA/LCU Softball Showdown.
The five games she played on the week was Dauthier's first five games played as a Wildcat and helped lead LCU to three wins as LCU went 4-2 during the week. This was Dauthier's first Player of the Week award.
Dauther and the rest of the Wildcats (6-2) head to the state capitol on Friday for two games against NCAA DI Southern. First pitch of Friday's doubleheader against the Jaguars (0-5) is set for 5:00 P.M. at Lady Jaguar Field.
