TEXARKANA, Texas -- The Louisiana Christian University women's soccer team lost 3-1 against the Texas A&M Texarkana Eagles.
LCU put the pressure on early against the Eagles as in the first minute, the Wildcats recorded a shot on goal. The Eagles would respond with pressure of their own in the second minute with a shot. They would take two more shots, both on goal, in the succeeding third and fourth minutes, the latter of which would squeeze past the Wildcats goalkeeper and give TAMUT the lead 1-0.
LCU would concede two more goals to the Eagles in the first half and go into halftime down 3-0.
Action would start early in the second half as in the 45th minute Emma Monet would sink an unassisted goal, giving the Wildcats their first score of the match
The Wildcats would have two more shots on goal in the second half but neither was able to sneak past the Eagles goalkeeper.
LCU falls to 2-3 in Red River Athletic Conference play with the loss to TAMUT.
The Wildcats will play LSU Shreveport at home Saturday, October 8 at 6 p.m.
